The terroir of Kercha
The district of Kercha is included in the Guji zone and makes it up with the other districts of: Odo Shakisso, Uraga, Hambela, Adola and Anassora. This Nyala coffee is collected from small producers, near the village of Birbirsa Kojowa, more than 400 km south of Addis Ababa. This fine traceability is notable for a coffee in the Terroir range and made possible, among other things, thanks to the sourcing work of the Belco team in Ethiopia. This coffee was washed in the village station, which is managed by Guji Coffee Export PLC. This group was created in 2006 by Girma Edema. Guji Export has been working for several years to promote Ethiopian coffee, through fine traceability and maintaining the quality of batches selected for international markets. In the Guji area the company works with more than 1000 small producers. She is attentive to fostering an attractive work environment, which makes the younger generations of this region want to continue making coffee.
